Kenya • Community-led • Future-focused

When people gain the right skills, possibility becomes power.

MentorSpace is a community-driven nonprofit working with children, youth, women and families to expand access to education, practical skills, sustainable livelihoods, leadership opportunities and environmental action across Kenya.

Every action can strengthen a pathway to skills, safer livelihoods, opportunity and resilience.

Rebuilding with purpose

COVID-19 disrupted our momentum. The need for our mission did not disappear.

MentorSpace was severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Community activities slowed, resources were stretched and opportunities to bring people together became harder to sustain.

Today, MentorSpace is steadily rebuilding because the challenges at the heart of our work remain urgent: young people still need future-ready skills, women in extractive communities still need safer and more sustainable livelihoods, children still need mentorship and learning opportunities, and communities still need practical pathways to resilience.

Help amplify the mission and vision. Partners can help MentorSpace restore programme momentum, strengthen systems, expand community reach and build a more resilient platform for long-term impact. Funding, technical expertise, research, technology, mentorship and institutional collaboration can all move the work forward.

Evidence, learning & accountability

We want partners to see not only what we do — but how change happens and how it will be measured.

As MentorSpace rebuilds and scales, two core accountability tools will strengthen programme design, reporting and donor confidence.

Theory of Change

A dedicated Theory of Change page will show the pathway from community needs and programme activities to outputs, outcomes and measurable long-term impact.

  • Define the problems each programme is addressing.
  • Show how training, mentorship, enterprise support and partnerships contribute to change.
  • Connect short-term outputs to longer-term social, economic and environmental outcomes.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

A dedicated MEL page will set out indicators, outcomes, reporting commitments and learning processes so partners can understand how progress is tracked and improved over time.

  • Programme indicators and outcome measures.
  • Regular learning and evidence-based adaptation.
  • Clear reporting commitments for donors and partners.
